There may be bits of this with which some may take issue, but this is the advice and perspective of a police officer (no, I can’t prove he’s really a cop, but from its content, I’m prepared to go out on a limb) and it’s not only pretty damn good, but quite helpful to see the world through his eyes.

I’ve been seeing a handful of “Know your rights” style infographics pop up lately.
As a cop, I actually like seeing them, because people are woefully uninformed in general. Sure, an informed public can make my job a little harder, but honestly, I would rather see a well educated public these days. That is why I’ve decided to make a post from an officer’s point of view on how to make an interaction with the police a little more pleasant. Hopefully most of you won’t need this, but it couldn’t hurt to know.
