Simple Justice Named to ABA Top 100

There’s blawgs and there’s blawgs.  And Simple Justice is definintely a blawg.  Or so they say.

Anyway, I am honored that Simple Justice has been named to the ABA Journal Blawg 100.  According to the ABA email I found in my spam folder, I no longer have to use a token to get on the subway, though it does mention something about a metrocard in the small print.

And there’s a competition to boot for criminal law blawgs.  It includes our good buddy Scott Henson over at Grits (who has a post over there that doesn’t mention Simple Justice, or any of the other blawgs, and leads me to think that Scott really, really wants to win this, so go vote for Grits as it will make Scott very happy), as well as Capital Defense Weekly, Blonde Justice, Crime, Clews The Historic True Crime Blog, Crime Scene KC, Meeting The Sin LawsSentencing Law and The Chicago Syndicate.

The word on the street is that if The Chicago Syndicate doesn’t win, people we love will begin to disappear until we have no one left.  I love my family.  Please don’t vote for Simple Justice.  For the sake of my kids, please don’t.

    Jaded? You? Sometimes outside of the borders of New York? You?

    Well, congrats on this whole “best blogs” thing. You should know I voted for you. Sorry.

    The scariest thought I’ve had all month: an experienced criminal defense lawyer who wasn’t jaded. Second scariest: spending a lot of time reading a blawg by an unjaded JD.

    You get the blood of my children on your hands, and you make Grits very sad.  Now why would you want to do that?

    I think Grits doesn’t like me either.

    Seems like there’s a few who like to get links a lot more than giving them.  I wonder why that is?

    I’m not talking about Grits, per se, here, but;

    A few years ago (maybe a year ago) I read a blog post somewhere about how to increase your technorati rank or how to make your blog more popular and one of the main theories was to get lots of links, but not give out any. Creates some sort of demand or something or people keep trying harder to get links from you by continuing to link to you or some such nonsense.
