Carlo Ventre was on trial in Rome for the murder of his California girlfriend, Toni Dykstra.  While on the witness stand, Ventre died of a heart attack.  Thanks to Andrew Bluestone of New York Attorney Malpractice Blog for bringing this to my attention.  As Andrew put it, really simple justice.
