A week ago, I had never even heard of a meme. When I learned that the dreaded meme was going around, I wasn’t sure what it meant. I asked Bennett what it was. “It’s like a social virus,” he told me. Vague, yet unattractive.
Over the past week, the meme was started by the anonymous Editor of Blawg Review with his/her choice of 10 blawgs that are “simply the best.” Simple Justice wasn’t on the list. But as the meme wound its way through the blawgosphere, we finally showed up on a few lists, saving me from total humiliation and tagging me to add to the meme. So here is my list:
1. Mark Bennett, Defending People: The Art and Science of Criminal Defense Trial Lawyering
2. Gideon, a public defender
3. Eric Turkewitz, New York Personal Injury Law Blog
4. Andrew Bluestone, New York Attorneyl Malpractice Blog
5. Nicole Black, Sui Generis
6. Anne Reed, Deliberations
7. Scott Henson, Grits for Breakfast
7. Jon Katz, Underdog
8. Robert Guest, I Was The State
9. Dave Hoffman, et al., Concurring Opinions
10. Young Shawn Matlock, I’m A Republican Criminal Defense Lawyer
On any given day, there are about a dozen other blawgs that would be on the list as well. But unlike another of my favorites, Skelly at Arbitrary and Capricious, I’m not going to lose any sleep over it.

These are just some of my favorite blawgs.
Nobody expresses their favorite things better than John Coltane. who heavily inspires me as a person and trial lawyer. Through lists named “memes,” in later 2007 various blawgers listed their favorite ten blawgs, which amounted to tagging each liste
