Simple Justice is 1 Year Old Today

It seems like I’ve been blawging forever, but today is one year.  This offers an opportunity to step back and look at what has happened in that brief time.

The most read post over the past year is The Lawyer Look, read 17,431 times.  Some posts were not well received.

Like Anne Reed, whose first anniversary at  Deliberations was a few days ago, I have many to thank for the success Simple Justice has enjoyed over the past year.  Rather than provide a list and risk leaving out someone to whom I owe a debt of gratitude, I thank you all.

During the past year, I’ve seen some terrific new blawgs come online, and some fade away.  I’ve heard from brilliant people and not so brilliant people.  I’ve been recognized by blogs of consequence, and roundly ignored by blogs of consequence.  I’ve been been included in beauty pageants, and found to be mildly unattractive.  It’s been a good year.

I hope that Simple Justice has been able to bring some value to the conversation around the blawgosphere.  It has been enormously valuable to me, as I have learned more in the past year than in the 25 preceding it.  I know I’ve been a strident supporting of a substantive practical blawgosphere, sometimes to the consternation of many, but it offers so much to so many.  My hope is that it continues to be a vibrant force, and that its reach continues to grow.

So thank you for visiting, for reading and for participating in my small corner of the blawgosphere.

A year ago this week, we were just two 49-year-olds who’d never heard of each other. There was a lot of great stuff in those 910(!) posts. Congratulations on a remarkable year.
