I’ve just learned that my dear friend, and friend to SJ, Jim Tyre has died. I will post more information when it becomes available. Damn, he was one of the good guys.

Scott, I’m very sorry to hear this. I’ve always enjoyed reading your blog, and one of the things that has made it great is the quality of some of the commenters. He will be missed. My deepest sympathies to all those who knew him.
