Thomas Sowell, economist and Senior Fellow at The Hoover Institute at Stanford University, wrote this piece about Nifong and the Duke Case. 

Is there a deeper, more nefarious meaning to this, or do all good people, regardless of political persuasion, ultimately agree that this was a grievous wrong.  If at first you say to yourself, the answer is obvious, then you will be surprised to learn that this opinion piece is already generating widespread debate as to whether it is a Machiavellian ploy to undermine and impugn academic freedom by shifting the blame from the obvious villain, Mike Nifong, to those who jumped immediately onto the bandwagon of guilty rich white boys in furtherance of their political agenda.
