Just a reminder that we are soliciting nominations for Criminal Defense Lawyer of the Year 2007.  Remember, this is not about the biggest, most important newsmaker or Big Name lawyer, but about regular lawyers who toil in the trenches day in and day out, without the recognition their efforts deserve.

While a few terrific nominations have already come in, I’ve got to believe that there are more of you out there who have a criminal defense lawyer whose efforts are worthy of note.  I would expect that every reader here has colleague or lawyer who inspired them, served them, represented them, helped them or just stood up to injustice or impropriety, not to make headlines but because it was the right thing to do.  This is your chance to recognize them, and by doing so, recognize the work of criminal defense lawyers on behalf of the accused.
