Misha Update: Two Tons of Body Armor Delivered (Update)

So many of you were kind enough, concerned enough, to contribute to Protect Misha and rightfully wonder where your money went. While it would be extremely unwise to provide any advance notice of what David was doing, I can now tell you that he delivered 120 vests, more than two tons of body armor, to Ukraine yesterday. David sent back some pics of the delivery.

The fellow in the carefully chosen orange tie and pants outfit is David’s partner in this endeavor, Kay.

As long as David and Kay can get funding and access to body armor and supplies, they will continue to bring critical equipment to Ukraine for as long as they can. This shipment of 120 vests may not compare to fighter jets and missiles, but will go a long way to keeping Misha and his people alive. Thank you, again.

Update: And the body armor is now on the bodies of Ukrainian soldiers. More pics to come tomorrow.

My family used to try to thwart Germans sending military hardware through Poland and now we are funding it. Talk about pendulums.

    Way to go David!

Those vests will be priceless to the person who takes a direct hit on one and walks away with only a nasty bruise and a cracked rib or two. Thanks for the update, for taking on this project, and for the opportunity to help directly.

Thanks, guys, I appreciate the support! I’ll post a majot update to protectmisha.me tomorrow about how this first armor-delivering run went down. Short version: Everything took longer than I hoped, especially at customs, but we got there in the end 🙂

I’m incredibly grateful to each and every one of you who donated. We couldn’t have pulled this off without you. Heroes.
