Via Sui Generis, a website where lawyers can rate New York judges,  The Robing Room.  While it appears to be at the beginning of its life, and still needs a lot more lawyers doing a lot more rating to serve its purpose, this is potentially a great resource and will hopefully prove a very useful tool in preparing for a case.  They also rate federal judges and judges in other states, but since New York is the center of the universe, there’s no reason to discuss anywhere else.

Fascinating Aside:  The Robing room sidebar contains advertisements, and whose ad is prominently displayed?  None other than former Abbie Hoffman mouthpiece and prominent New York lawyer Jerry Lefcourt.  I would not have thought that Jerry needed to advertise, but hey, what do I know?
