Got Popcorn?

Via Bobby Frederick and Radley “Do I really look like my dog?” Balko. some fun video viewing.  Three parts.  Two intermissions. Fun stuff.

Caveat: It’s been edited and put together.  It’s possible that material information is omitted. It’s also possible that it portrays exactly what it claims to portray.  Since this is offered for your viewing pleasure, and as another fine excuse to munch on something while you’re awaiting your bar exam results or for the phone to ring, just chill out and be thankful that no one is warped enough to ask me to appear on a Hot Blawgers Calendar.  Now enjoy.

Seriously, the theme music was really awful.

Lessons learned: (1) If you are lawfully holding your own gun on your own property and police officer can see you, and that cop is angry at you, that will result in a Brandishing charge. (2) Anything less than total sniveling subservience will be called “defiant.” (3) There’s always a Resisting charge. (4) Misdemeanor Disrespect of Cop sure goes by a lot of different names. All things to keep in mind the next time I’m on a criminal jury.

Thanks for sharing this video. Would this incident be appropriately categorized as outrageous? I perceive the events to be outrageous although I could see how this violation of Mr. Harts’ rights may just pale in comparison to situations that a criminal defense lawyer may encounter routinely.
